1991—accepted a disabled roommate for $275 monthly rent, then raised the rent the following month, demanded the disabled woman surrender her monthly Social Security disability check, and disconnected the phone—and therefore any access to emergency services—when the roommate would not comply. Fortunately, the disabled woman was able to find saner accomodations elsewhere.

1995—Wrote 2 rubber checks to a disabled editor/typesetter, and when cash payment was demanded, attempted to avoid payment for completed work by threatening to report the editor/typesetter to the Social Security, IRS, and a variety of other agencies (assuming erroneously that the disabled worker had something to hide). The editor/typesetter prevailed in court...gloriously.
